Single Review: The Phantoms – ‘Shadows’

Thrashing out infectious hooks and raw, powerful vocals are new Scottish band The Phantoms. Having received praise from the likes of This Feeling, Gigslutz and Radio X, and having shared a stage with Catfish And The Bottlemen, they are set to release a new single this month.

If catchy noughties indie-rock vibes are your thang, then you’re in for a treat with ‘Shadows’. Oozing shades of the likes of Kasabian or The Enemy, the track whirrs with anthemic riffs, pounding beats and the impassioned drawl of front-man Colin Simpson; making for an instant earworm. Exuding a youthful, angst-driven energy and swagger that would make the Gallaghers proud, ‘Shadows’ is an indie-pop hit with definite stadium-filling potential.

Be sure to keep your ears peeled for more from these lads; they’re sure to be bringing their rock ‘n’ roll attitude to a venue near you in the very near future…

‘Shadows’ is out 21 April.
