Queer creative Toby Corton is back with a neo-soulfully sweet new single that is just pure vibes.
‘Roll With It’ is a highly relatable single about the trials and tribulations of pandemic and how sometimes, you’ve just gotta ‘Roll With It’. Reminiscent of the likes of Joy Crookes and Joesef, Toby combines retro soul with modern R&B influences in order to create something truly unique.
“I wrote ‘Roll With It’ during the pandemic when I was perhaps smoking and drinking a bit too much,” Toby explains. “The endless countdown of days was A LOT and the only peace I could find was sparking up and making music. ‘Roll With It’ is lamenting the situation in which I was seeking to recede from the reality of what we were experiencing, as well as asking myself ‘what else can I do, but just Roll With It?’”.
Toby’s love of the creative process has led him to take photos of the likes of already legendary Drag Queen Bimini and London Trans Pride founder Lucia Blayke. His previous supporters include the likes of Dazed, NOTION, Clash Magazine, Earmilk and GX Magazine.
Catch Toby Corton live next on 1st December 2022 at Hootenanny Brixton – Tickets.
‘Roll With It’ is out now via Think Twice Records, an arm of Last Man Music Group.
