Welsh newcomers, Celsius, have announced themselves with their emotive debut single, Further Than The Moon.
The duo, comprised of brothers Callum and Conor, have combined their music school background to great effect, creating a mature, expansive sound akin to the likes of Sam Smith.
With Conor graduating as a classical pianist and Callum honing his contemporary music skills at Bristol’s renowned music college BIMM, it’s no wonder their sound meshes an impressively diverse range of influences. The pair cite everyone from Bach to The Beatles or Hozier to Haydn as artists of note, and this plays out in their rich sound.
Led by soothing piano, the serene vocal of Callum comes to the fore, accented by soaring harmonies and moody guitar. The single illustrates a seasoned approach to songwriting, even more impressive considering their young years.
With Further Than The Moon shared with a new audience, Celsius aim to follow this with a number of singles in 2023, including ‘Waterfall’, ‘Wish I Could Stay’ and ‘Greatest Loss’.
