Stream Oliver Wilde’s New Track ‘Good Kind Of Froze’

Gentle swagger, mind boggling beats and chugging synth chords. Yep, that’s Oliver Wilde.

Bristolian electro wizard Oliver Wilde has today unveiled his new track ‘Good Kind Of Froze’, taken off of his acclaimed EP Long Hold Star, Infinite Abduction. You can listen to the new song below.

Marked by a wave of influences, from British electronica to psych-rock, ‘Good Kind Of Froze’ is the product of hours spent studying the back catalogues of artists like Warp, Fuck Buttons, Erased Tapes, Mark Links, Deerhunter and My Bloody Valentine: a mighty brouhaha of warbling synths and mind boggling beats.

Speaking of the track, Wilde says:

“‘Good Kind Of Froze’ is a sort of purse-lipped self analysis, a kind of brand-new manic conflict between my fragile bedroom downer-pop I’m comfortable with, and a new disconnected musical skin I’m still getting used to. I guess I want this track to be divisive and serve as an introduction to the new atmospheric intensity to follow.”

Long Hold Star, Infinite Abduction was released in May via Howling Owl Records.
