Review: Best Friends – If You Think Too Much Your Brain Will Fall Out

‘If You Think Too Much Your Brain Will Fall Out’ first of all is a great name for a track but more importantly is it the latest offering from brilliant buzz band Best Friends.

The Sheffield four piece have created summer fuzz and managed to cram it into a two minute ten nutshell, and it’s great! Care-free sounding, fizzing guitar lines and itchy hooks keep the track moving at a fast pace, whilst the rise and fall that bisect the verses spike the listeners ear every time. The surfer pop boys seem to effortlessly churn out such happy tunes that they just make you want to dance around like an idiot – I couldn’t think of a better way to have some harmless fun.

Best Friends eagerly awaited debut album ‘Hot.Reckless.Totally Insane’ is out in May, including fantastic tracks like ‘Nosebleeds’, ‘Fake Spit’ and ‘If You Think Too Much…’. If you can’t wait that long the band are also touring on the following dates in April:

16th Cardiff, Clwb Ifor Bach
17th London, Birthdays
18th Brighton, Stick Mike’s Frog Bar
19th Nottingham, Bodega
20th Birmingham, The Oobleck
21st Glasgow, Broadcast
22nd Manchester, Soup Kitchen
23rd Leeds, The Brudenell Social Club
24th Sheffield, The Harley

Best Friends seem to whack out brilliantly joyous tunes like ‘If You Think Too Much…’ that if you’re not careful will get into your bones and stay they for a very long time, don’t worry you’ll love every second.
