Google’s Infiltration Of Abbey Road Studios

You don’t have to be musically minded or famous to see the magic now, the hallowed grounds of Abbey Road can now be accessed by all of us. The recording studio has become a virtual opening, meaning anyone can click a button to unravel what lies behind the doors.

The Beatles to Green Day have performed in Abbey Road; all of the biggest artists have committed to musical endeavours there, showcasing their talents under the blissful lights. But, is this just another way of Google taking over the virtual world? Is it a money making venture, or is it for the love of music? Well, Google is a multi-billion dollar company, a search engine that has revolutionised the way we click.

It could be classed as a company that is a major force becoming too greedy and not focused on progressing. Yes, Google has made our lives easier; it has broadened our horizons, but has the company gone too far?

See for yourself – Inside Abbey Road

Maybe, just maybe the people at Google want to showcase their musical prowess. They might want to tap into something new and exciting. It is very exciting for fans to see and interact with what’s on show. It will gain popularity; there is no doubt about that. It will steal minds and melt hearts.

But the image of Abbey Road will never be the same. Its closed doors will now be open to the public. It will lose that mystery of the unknown. The appeal of the studio being a sacred place will rub off and it will become another museum, quite sad really.
