Keelan X releases synth-pop inspired single ‘Never Wanted Nobody Else’

Nomadic Irish singer-songwriter, Keelan X, has announced the release of his latest single, ‘Never Wanted Nobody Else’.

Having spent years traversing the industry in various bands, Keelan stepped away from music, his self-imposed hiatus offering a new perspective. His return saw the artist experiment with synth-pop soundscapes gaining immediate attention for tracks such as ‘Fever’ and ‘The Other Side’.

Now, Keelan X is delighted to share his anthemic new track ‘Never Wanted Nobody Else’. Continuing to create dance-worthy, banging pop anthems, Keelan invokes sounds of 80s synth-pop icons such as Howard Jones and Nik Kershaw. Keelan seamlessly combines the retro sonics with contemporary soundscapes of modern artists like Bleachers and The Weeknd.

The result is another expertly crafted synth-pop song and a perfect bookend to the summer. The track undulates with Keelan‘s shimmering vocal coming to the fore, while he weaves melodic, synth-pop landscapes and merges this with indie-style guitar.

Keelan‘s 80s-influenced pop sound has gained attention far and wide with the likes of RTÉ 2Amazing RadioToday FMThe Vinyl DistrictSynthpoploverHot PressSide-Line Magazine, and Electricity Club all supporting the artist.

‘Never Wanted Nobody Else’ is out now. Keelan X will perform his live debut headline gig at The Workmans Club Cellar in Dublin on the 26th of November 2023. Tickets are on sale now.
