Following his death at the age of 68, tributes continues to pour in for the late, great David Bowie. The beloved musical icon has been remembered by fans and musicians alike. Hundreds of fans have flocked to Brixton — the place of Bowie’s birth — to pay homage with a candle light vigil. Under a beautifully painted mural, the flock of fans burst out in a mass singalong of Bowie’s greatest tracks.
In terms of the music world, the likes of Iggy Pop, Paul McCartney, Win Butler, Yoko Ono, Pixies, St. Vincent and others have paid their respects.

EL VY, the collaborative duo made up of The National’s Matt Berninger and Menomena’s Brent Knopf, have paid their own tribute to Bowie by performing his 1983 track ‘Let’s Dance’ on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which you can watch below.
While Bowie’s death has shaken the music world to its core, the one thing we can take comfort in is that, in a weird way, David Bowie — the Starman — is returning to his home planet. With a musical presence, artistic showmanship and aura that was almost alien in its size and capacity, Bowie was simply not of this planet. He was in a completely different world of his own as the true, great artist of our time.
