The New Cut release new single ‘From The Overpass’

Bristol rockers The New Cut announce the release of their new single From The Overpass, out now.

After the acclaim for their debut EP Merrywood earlier this year, The New Cut reiterate their post-punk/alt-rock sound, heralding the onset of a fresh chapter via new elements of grunge and trashy guitars. From the Overpass details the experience with the mundane day to day and existentialist dread in a moody and sonically powerful new single.

The New Cut are Henry Gerrard (vocals / guitar), Flick Case (vocals / guitar), Rachel Parr (vocals / bass) and Morgan Sellis (drums). They met during their time at university, where they began writing and creating music together in Bristol. Through mutual influences of the likes of Black Country, New Road and Do Nothing, the band pushed their sound into a post-punk, riff-based direction, allowing them to create tracks that are instant angst-driven ear worms as a result.

Having previously supported the likes of Buzzcocks, The New Cut punctuated the summer with notable festival appearances including Dot To DotLakefest and The Great Escape

Catch them live next on 18th October 2023 at Paper Dress Vintage, London – Tickets
