Having spent a number of years in their spiritual home of The US of A, Brighton’s Hybrid kid returned to Blighty with an expansive sound that deviated from Garage Rock all the way to Americana. New single Miracle, is a perfect example of their blend of influences as Hybrid Kid embrace the Americana side of their personality.
Since returning to the UK the band have racked up a list of impressive achievements with their song ‘Dropped’ hitting over 280k plays on Spotify as well as support coming from the likes of BBC Radio’s Tom Robinson. It’s easy to see why the band appeal, with current single highlighting their ability to write memorable tunes.
Opening with shuffling drum beats allied to country-inspired picked guitar notes, the melancholic baseline kicks in as the track begins to soar through the warming tones of singer Danny Lloyd. Miracle is a sumptuous single that flutters with a warming glow, perfect for the cold winter nights.
Ending the year on a high, Hybrid Kid will play the Prince Albert on 1st December in Brighton, along with alternative punk band Sturdy Wrists.
Miracle is out now.
