Emerging artist Marlowe (they/them) kicks off 2024 with the release of their infectious debut single Give It Up, out now.
The single celebrates femininity as a male-presenting non-binary gay artist. Marlowe elaborates, “it represents the struggles I have when trying to navigate my love life. It derives from that wall I always seem to hit, where my partner is not as comfortable with themselves as they need to be to move forward in a queer relationship. It’s an invitation to embrace your inner femininity”. Give It Up is an alt-pop banger that combines Marlowe’s modern pop influences with their Latin roots and a splash of R&B infused nostalgia for good measure.
Marlowe is originally from Venezuela but now resides in London. Marlow focuses on raw, confessional lyrics that aim to be storytelling and empowering. In 2023, they performed multiple live shows across London including headline gigs at O2 Academy Islington and Camden Assembly. With Give It Up, Marlowe is hoping to continue to captivate listeners with their fun-filled blend of dance floor-filling electro-pop.
