Video Premiere: Regulus Red – Ghoster

A champion of the LGBT community, this half Welsh, half Italian singer-songwriter is debuting with a haunting and fresh single, ‘Ghoster’.

Introducing Regulus Red: a proud representative of the LGBT community who isn’t afraid to tell it like it is. Bringing a stunningly unique take to the pop genre, Red is inspired by the likes of Lady Gaga, Lorde, Mika, Pink and even Madonna – if honesty surrounds their music, he’s listening to it.

Channelling these incredible artists, Red aims to share his own experiences through his music, welcoming you to enjoy his stories by way of artistic, unique melody writing and lyrics that pack a relatable punch. Enter, ‘Ghoster’.

‘Ghoster’ is a song that looks at the people of today who live their lives almost digitally, afraid of facing their true emotions that the real world may have forced upon them. Additionally, as the title may suggest, this song explores the aftermath of having been ghosted.

‘Ghoster’ invokes an almost “lost” feeling within the listener, one that many will surely be familiar with. It does this with the somewhat creepy vibe that the music conveys, as the melody is reminiscent of an old horror-thriller video game  along the likes of Max Payne or Silent Hill, albeit with a sort of hip-hop twist.

This is certainly one of the most interesting vibes we’ve heard recently. If Regulus Red’s background in acting, ballet and dancing is anything to go by, there’s no shortage of artistic outlets for him to draw from going forward. In fact, it’s been reported that he has written around 45 songs already – and we can’t wait to hear them!
