Widespread reports have come in over the last few moments that Manchester United have rejected a cash plus player deal from Chelsea for Wayne Rooney.
Rooney’s future at Old Trafford has been thrown into question in the last few weeks culminating in news last night that the England striker is alleged to be angry and confused by comments from David Moyes regarding his value to the team.
Reports state that Chelsea have offered £10m plus Juan Mata for the United number 10 but United are believed to have rejected the proposition out of hand. The move comes as little shock to most fans as Chelsea boss José Mourinho has been singing Rooney’s praises recently which has fuelled speculation that s move of this nature would be made.
