Five years on from the release of their critically acclaimed debut album, Route One Or Die, instrumental-rock demons Three Trapped Tigers have unveiled the details of their new record. Coming out on April 1st via Superball MusicSilent Earthling announces Three Trapped Tigers long awaited return.

“Some of the tunes are quite aggressive, some are poignant, some are just dumb, rocking fun… I guess we have tried to refine our sound whilst keeping it vital and exciting” – Matt Calvert, Three Trapped Tigers

Contrary to popular belief, five years away from the studio doesn’t mean that the band have been sat idly twiddling their thumbs. Since the release of Route One Or Die, Three Trapped Tigers have worked closely with Brian Eno, Goldie and Karl Hyde (Underworld), as well as with Roots Manuva, JME and Skepta on some forthcoming collaborations. And the band — who are made up of Adam Betts, Matt Calvert, and Tom Rogerson — have certainly made their impression of cult hero Eno, who has described Three Trapped Tigers as “at the cutting edge of contemporary music”.

Bridging the gap between thunderous post-rock, math-rock, and instrumental noise, Three Trapped Tigers effortlessly bleed into a number of styles, timbres and genres. Along with their mammoth sound, the band have announced an equally impressive UK tour in support of their new record. Tour dates:
