An Anglo-French six-piece whose male/female dynamic is at the heart of their emotional, seductive music, The Night VI formed three years ago at the French Lycée in London.
Revelling in a shared love of past and present musical icons including Nico, Blondie, Feist, Patti Smith, The XX, Laura Marling, Nick Drake & Joni Mitchell, there is a seductive Gallic beauty to their presentation of classic, decadent and dreamy pop music. Their four track EP ‘Still Thinking of You’ is being released August 12th through Parlophone Records.
Lead track ‘Thinking Of You’ is inspired by time Sophie-Rose spent holed up in a Parisian hotel which she describes as, “representing a finite moment – perhaps just an hour of your life; you’re missing the person that you love and at the same time hating them for making you feel that way.” Its simple musical beauty belies the lyrical themes of love, loneliness, isolation and despair.
