Following the gigantic success of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, yesterday saw the unveiling of the second instalment ‘The Desolation Of Smaug’ that is due for release December 13th 2013.
The second of the trilogy, produced by New Line Cinema and MGM, is an adaptation of favoured author J.R.R Tolkien’s masterpiece The Hobbit. ‘The Desolation of Smaug’ continues the adventures of the title character Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug opens nationwide across the UK on 13th December 2013.
