Katie Laffan is an extremely talented musician and multi-instrumentalist from Dublin.
About: At just 17 years of age, Katie Laffan has already excelled her musical talents on the drums, guitar, piano and ukulele; not to mention her absolutely superb voice. Taking on the duties of producing her own music in her home studio, Katie hopes to go forward to study along these lines after school.
Although it’s a massive achievement, the fact of over 11,000 plays on Soundcloud isn’t the height of Katie’s success, believe it or not. Having just been crowned the winner of the Hot Press Big Break competition, the well-deserved recognition is bound to start forming a spotlight around Katie in the not-so-distant future. With only one live show as a solo artist under her belt as of yet, this determined young talent has already banked herself a place at the Isle of Man festival in July.
Fantastic vocals; amazing rapping skills; and the touch to take to just about any instrument- this very hectic Irish music scene better make way for Katie Laffan.
