Model Aeroplanes are finally back and clearly raring for summer with the release of their feel-good indie pop anthem ‘Lover’, out now via Spinnup (Universal Music).
‘Lover’ is immediately addictive from the offset, filled with hedonistic melody hooks, lead singer Rory’s bright, colourful vocal and wonderfully infectious snippets of electronica throughout. For a track about regret, we doubt these guys will have any regrets after this track skyrockets to the top. Fans of The 1975 and Passion Pit will feel at home here.
Following the release of their debut EP Something Like Heaven in 2016 via the prestigious Island Records, Model Aeroplanes fans have had to wait patiently for their next release and we highly doubt they’ll be disappointed. Having been mates since they were teens, this band has gone from strength to strength performing at a plethora of festivals and gaining critical acclaim along the way.
