Single Review: Greta Isaac – ‘Comfortable’

Originally hailing from Wales, young London-based artist Greta Isaac has, in the past, become known for her twinkling folk-inspired offerings. However, her latest creation is a step away from her traditional roots and introduces us to her new, refined sound.

Racing with whirring hooks and throbbing, glitchy beats, ‘Comfortable’ is a shimmering electro-pop delight. Inspired by the destructive human tendencies of apathy and selfishness, it flows with catchy, pop-inspired melodies alongside sweeping waves of clashing sounds and the subtle power of Isaac’s sugar-sweet vocals.

Amalgamating the rich delicacy of classical instrumentation with the eerie throb of electronic beats, with ‘Comfortable’ Isaac has shown herself to be an innovative creator of music for the modern age, whilst paying homage to her roots.

‘Comfortable’ is out now.
