Single Review: Ella Eyre – Comeback

The lioness has done it again!

Premiering follow up single ‘Comeback‘ on BBC Radio One’s Zane Lowe show just three weeks on from Ella Eyre’s debut ‘If I go‘, Eyre wastes no time in giving her so called Eyre heads something else to roar about!

Unleashing her claws, ‘Comeback‘ compliments the Ying Yang mind-state you can feel about an ex-lover. With a scratch of naivety in her debut lyric “If I go will you love me when I come back?” Eyre’s confidence growls on this new track, showing she isn’t going to “let that motherfucker burn” as she assured herself “they always come back”.

With her début album ‘Feline’ fixed for October alongside another UK tour this songstress’ energy is definitely one to watch. ‘Feline’ is packed full of meaty melodies crunchy choruses and some hopeful affectionate acoustics. Don’t purrrr for too long, we would hate it if a few stray Eyre heads were left disappointed!
