Single Review: East Of My Youth – ‘Broken Glass’

Since forming back in 2015, Icelandic duo Herdís Stefánsdóttir and Thelma Marín Jónsdóttir – aka East Of My Youth – have received acclaim from the likes of i-D and The Line Of Best Fit and charmed crowds at festivals such as SXSW.  Now, with their majestic new single, they’re sure to continue captivating listeners.

Exuding an other-worldy majesty, ‘Broken Glass’ flows with twinkling electronic soundscapes that sit atop glitchy beats and glistening, crystal-clear vocals. With shades of the likes of Lykke Li, it interweaves rich layers of sound, creating a truly dreamy, effervescent sonic delight.

With Herdís Stefánsdóttir’s compositional background, it’s no surprise that East Of My Youth’s latest ethereal offering is a perfect slice of sweeping synth-pop.

‘Broken Glass’, the new single from East Of My Youth, is out now via West Of My Future Ltd.
