Single review: CHILDCARE ‘Bamboo’

Christmas is nearly upon us but don’t get the mince pies out just yet, as we have a couple more new music reviews for you in the pipeline first! CHILDCARE‘s ‘Bamboo’ is an infectious psych-pop hit that certainly deserves your attention so listen up.

CHILDCARE have been rocking the London circuit for some time now, most recently at London’s Two Tribes Brewery as part of Big Indie Big Nights, where they took the venue my storm. Usually led by frontman Ed Cares, their latest single ‘Bamboo’ changes things up a bit, instead with bassist Emma Topolski taking the vocal reigns. Known for their flawless harmonies, ‘Bamboo’ is no different, kicking off with some powerful ‘ahs’ from the quartet. As Emma goes it alone on the first verse, she falls into the song effortless, her voice soaring wonderfully over the bombastic guitar riffs and driving drum beats. Fans of the likes of Everything Everything and Superfood will feel at home here.

‘Bamboo’ is taken from the band’s debut album, due for release in February 2019. We can’t wait!
