Silent Suarez Leaves Anfield Future Unclear

Luis Suarez has put his future in doubt by refusing to rule out a possible departure from Liverpool this summer.

The Uruguayan, who has just won the PFA Player of the Year, was in tears in a recent game at Crystal Palace after his side submitted the Premier League title to eventual winners Manchester City.

The 27-year-old has continuously been linked with a move away from Anfield with Real Madrid and Barcelona believed to be willing to pay big money for his services.

However, Suarez refused to get sucked into talk about his future which still raises questions on whether he’ll be at Liverpool next season.

“I don’t want to answer that,” he said when asked about a move to Spain. “I try to avoid press speculation .”

Despite only signing a new four-and-a-half year contract last year, some reports have suggested Suarez’s new deal includes an agreement that a move away can happen if one of Europe’s elite clubs offers a certain sum of money.

Last summer, Arsenal failed in an audacious bid to sign the striker for £40million plus £1.

Suarez remained at Liverpool and went on to score 31 times as his side finished runners-up in the Premier League but the Merseysiders could now face another battle to keep their star man.
