Indie-pop 4-piece San Cisco are set to release the single ‘Fred Astaire’, through Columbia Records, on May 6th 2013.
The song is taken from their forthcoming self-titled debut album, which is set for release on July 29th.
Jordi from the band said, “I wrote the words out in the outback, where i was mustering, and it was a three-hour drive back to the homestead and I started singing it to myself. I wrote it about not being good enough for your girlfriend, and her being able to have someone who can give her everything, and you not being that person. It’s Fred Astaire because he’s an affluent man who can do that. And he’s a good dancer.”
Fresh off their own UK headline tour, the band have now announced they will be back in the UK to support Darwin Deez on his UK tour in April and May. San Cisco spent the first two months of the year supporting the Vaccines on tour in the USA and also made their SXSW debut earlier this month.
