While browsing at this years Gadget Show in Birmingham’s NEC, we found Finnish TV company, Finlux who are breaking the UK market with their technologically advanced systems that aren’t to harsh on the bank.
Finlux were nice enough to send Fortitude Magazine their 32″ LED Smart TV Model 32F8030-T, we tested it against how it would compete against rivals, over all performance, compatibility and style.
Style
The 32F8030-T style is rather plain, if placed in a store i wouldn’t think it would stand stylistically to rivals, but over all when placed in a home environment the 32F8030-T will be easy to incorporate in to almost any house. 32F8030-T’s remote has to be mentioned as we thought that it holds well in your the hand and doesn’t feel like you will break it, the buttons are a ideal size and the back is rubberesized to stop slippage and it is powered by two AAA’s.32F8030-T is equipped to handle multiple peripherals as it boasts 4 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, two SCART ports and a VGA port. The 32F8030-T came with a sturdy plastic base, which simply slotted in place.
Performance
The 32F8030-T’s performance flawless: setting up the TV takes a matter of minutes as soon as you select various options you have both Standard and HD Freeview at your Finger Tips. The 32F8030-T’s definition is crisp on both Standard and HD, but we found while watching highlights from this years Snooker Championships as well as other various programs the green was a little bit blinding, but a short little tweak via the settings can change that. The 32F8030-T comes with Smart TV functionality, which means that users can switch between Freeview and Content based on the Internet such as YouTube & BBC iPlayer, this was the main selling point that really had me impressed. Adding to this, the 32F8030-T’s remote has built in shortcut, which literally means you can switch from Freeview to YouTube with a click of a button. This means that no more flicking through the music channels desperately trying to find a song that you like; making your entertainment needs tailored around you.
Sound
The 32F8030-T can produce a pretty powerful sound that can fill any room perfectly. Bass that can easily cause distortion on TV’s of a similar size, but Finlux have balanced the sound on the 32F8030-T perfectly.
We really liked this TV it has the same capability of its rivals with more features to suit the on-demand wants of todays average consumer.
