Iron Maiden Announce Post-Download Festival London Show

Legendary Metal rockers Iron Maiden announced they will round off their ‘Maiden England’ world tour off at London’s O2 Arena during their headline set at this weekends Download Festival.

During their triumphant headline set at this years Download Festival, Iron Maiden announced to 90,000 fans that they will finish their world tour on home turf at London’s O2 Arena on August 3rd.

Bruce Dickinson said at Download: “From the very first show in North America last year to the European dates we’ve done so far, it’s just been tremendous fun. Our fans have been brilliant as usual, and seem to be loving the set-list and the stage production! So we thought that because this tour has been such an amazing experience for band and fans alike, it somehow seems right to finish up back home in England and have the final show celebration on home-turf. The 02 is a great venue to play with a really fantastic vibe, so we’re really looking forward to this show being one almighty party!”

Iron Maiden also announced that the band will use the ticketless ticketing system which was recently used by Robbie Williams during his three dates at the O2 Arena, this means fans that purchase tickets for the gig wont recieve a paper ticket and instead fans bring the credit/debit card they bought the tickets with along with some form of photo ID to stop touts from profiting from the show.

Tickets for this legendary show go on sale on June 28th.
