Retro Stefson Unveil ‘Qween’ Video

Following the release of their new self-titled album, Iceland’s Retro Stefson return to London for the second UK leg of their mammoth European tour.

After having a sell out crowd at The Lexington bouncing along to their crystalline rainbow of sounds a couple of months ago, they return to play Hoxton Bar & Kitchen tomorrow.

The show is preceded with a new video that juxtaposes a surreal narrative set in the vast landscapes of Iceland with the unashamedly 90s house inspired gem of a single ‘Qween’.

Already an award winning, gold disc holding, chart topping band in their home country of Iceland, Retro Stefson maintain the intellect, depth and dynamism we’ve come to expect from Icelandic music, theirs is a bright & dazzling kaleidoscope of melodies and beats that is entirely unique.

Fronted by brothers Unnsteinn and Logi Stefánsson, they have been making music since they were 16 – a fact that goes some way to explain how a band quite so young sounds so mature. Their previous two LPs were released locally and eagerly devoured by the Icelandic audience, but on this third full length, Retro Stefson showcase a sound that demands attention the world over.

Taking influences equally from the worlds of dance, pop and indie, Retro Stefson’s new found 7-piece line-up create a live show that is truly extraordinary.
