Less than 24 hours after losing out on one La Masia graduate yesterday, Manchester United have turned their attention to another one today.
With Thiago Alcantara all but completing his £21m move to Bayern Munich yesterday, the Premier League Champions have moved swiftly onto their next target, fellow Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
Media reports from across the continent this morning are detailing a £26m move that Manchester United have tabled for the former Arsenal star; whether or not there’s any possibility of this move being completed or not is another thing as Fabregas has said in previous months that he is perfectly happy at Barcelona but this will be the first official test of Fabregas’ resolve since he has made those comments.
Arsenal though are believed to have first refusal on any potential moves for Fabregas as part of the deal that saw him leave the Emirates for the Camp Nou in 2011 so it’ll definitely be interesting to see how this one pans out.
