In “um, what?” news today, it appears that Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin has formed a pizza themed Velvet Undergound cover band called, wait for it; The Pizza Underground
Yeah, that’s right.
The band take Velvet Underground songs and re-imagine them with pizza related lyrics and titles. Some criticism (as always) surrounds the whole thing as it appears the band formed just 9 days after Lour Reed’s death, which could either be an unfortunate coincidence or just plain opportunism.
So far all we have to go on is the demo below, which i’ll leave you to make your mind up about. But here are just a few Pizza/Underground titles I think they should consider:
– ‘I’m Waiting For the (Delivery) Man’
– ‘What Goes On (Your Pizza)’
– ‘Sweet Jalapeños’
