So two of the biggest DJ’s in the world have teamed up to create the most anticipated collaboration in a long time, meet Jack U.
Jack U is the brain child of superstar DJ’s Diplo and Skrillex, the unlikely duo became friends after running into one and another at shows and over a mutual respect of each other’s talents. ‘Take U There’ is there only official release so fair, it features the vocal talents of Kiesza and is a beast of a track. Aparently recorded in a hotel room in Ibiza after Kiesza opened for Axwell, her vocals brilliantly help give the track a human touch. A piano intro leads to a Diplo style build over a vocal line of “You have got my loving baby”, and then comes the most satisfying drop that’s been born for a while.
Being a superstar DJ duo Jack U could have become a victim to of its own hype but this drop is as deep, sleazy and slow as anybody could want. Jack U are planning to premiere new material on the POTATO youtube channel, as run by Skrillex/Diplo/A-Trak. ‘Take U There’ was debuted at Diplo’s ‘Mad Decent Bloc Party’ but it’s unclear if the track will appear on their mixtape which is set to be released in the near future.
