With their début EP due out in August Arches are the next big thing to come out of Glasgow.
Arches are made up of former members of successful Scottish bands, Vocalist Michael Rice was the former frontman of Yashin, Guitarist Barry Morrell from Young States and Drummer Niall McGarvie from Jocasta Sleeps. The band is completed by Bassist Andrew Johnston and Guitarist David Johnston.
In the past year Arches have had songs like “Turn It Up” and “Like Fireworks” receive airplay from Radio 1 and Kerrang! and their music videos on Kerrang TV. For those going to T in the Park, Arches will be playing the T break stage on the Sunday.
2013 is going to be the year for Arches. With big festival performances this summer and their début EP named “Broken Clocks” due out in August 2013 the band can only go from strength.
Keep an ear out for Arches over the coming months as you will be hearing a lot of them.
