England Clinch Narrow Victory In First Ashes Test

James Anderson’s impressive 10 wicket haul helped England to overcome a resilient Australian side in the first Ashes Test. Anderson’s four wickets on the final day ensured England gained a 1-0 lead in a dramatic opening Ashes Test which had absolutely everything.

There were world records, controversial decisions and almost a record chase proving that the Test match format can still keep crowds enthralled over the five day format. The game twisted and turned constantly as both teams fought to outdo the old enemy in an unforgettable start to the 2013 Ashes series.
