Announced via tweeter, director Marc Webb has confirmed that Dane DeHaan will play Harry Osborn in the sequel for the Amazing Spider-Man.
DeHaan is best known for his sinister performance in Chronicle, which makes him a good choice for the role of Harry Osborn. This is down to Harry’s initial friendship with Peter Parker that suddenly changes into hatred when he replaces his father, Norman Osborn, as the Green Goblin.
DeHaan will join the cast of Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, who will renew their roles as the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man and Gwen Stacey.
Other than that, not many details have been revealed about the sequel apart from rumours that Jamie Foxx will play the villain, Electro; who has the ability, you guessed it, to control electricity.
The Amazing Spider-Man sequel is scheduled to hit our screens on the 18thApril, 2014.
