Daft Punk Unveil ‘Random Access Memories’ Stream

Currently tipped as the most anticipated record of the decade, Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’ is available to stream for free via iTunes.

The electronic French-duo have remained fairly mysterious regarding the latest record, with album snippets and ‘Get Lucky’ video stream at Coachella Music Festival earlier in the year, but following a leak reported earlier today; Apple iTunes agreed to première the record a week before its release.

Following on from their involvement with Tron: Legacy back in 2010, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter entered an official studio for the first time to work with long-term producer Giorgio Moroder, songwriter Paul Williams and numerous collaborators including Gonzales, Julian Casablancas (The Strokes), Pharrell Williams (N*E*R*D), Panda Bear, Todd Edwards, Nile Rodgers (Chic) and fusion-jazz composer Paul Jackson, Jr.

The future of Daft Punk remains uncertain. The duo hinted at the possibility of a tour in the near future, but nothing has been planned as of yet. They, also, admitted to be surprised by the support and feedback that they have received, in particular their UK number 1.

Miracles are not expected; a Daft Punk 2014 World Tour is.
