Chris Gayle Breaks Records In Unrelenting IPL Innings

Chris Gayle scored the fastest century in the history of professional cricket reaching the 100 mark in an unbelievable 30 balls.

Gayle also set the record for the highest ever individual total in a Twenty20 game as he blistered his way to 175 not out from just 66 balls for Royal Challengers Bangalore in their IPL game against Pune Warriors.

The West Indian batsman beat both Andrew Symonds fastest century (30 balls) and Brendan McCullum’s record Twenty20 total (158) hitting 17 sixes and 13 fours as his side cruised to victory.

Royal Challengers Bangalore also set the record for the highest Twenty20 team total amassing 263-5 from their 20 overs eclipsing the previous record of 260 set by Sri Lanka in 2007.

Gayle managed to pick up two wickets in the final over of the game as his side restricted Pune Warriors to 133-9 in a game which will be remembered for a long time to come thanks to Chris Gayle’s fantastic innings.
