Bayern Confirm Götze signing

Bayern Munich this morning announced the signing of highly-rated German international, Mario Götze, from Borrusia Dortmund.

The 20-year-old will join the German Champions elect on the 1st of July after signing what is believed to be a three-year deal.

Dortmund confirmed on their Facebook page that the player, who was instrumental in Dortmund’s domestic successes in 2011 and 2012, was given permission to speak to the Bavarian giants after Munich triggered a 37 million Euro release clause in his contract.

It is the second most expensive transfer in German League history and completes a string of expensive signings made by Bayern Munich as they now look to have compiled a truly awesome team after spending over 30 million on the likes of Mario Gomez, Javi Martinez and now Götze to join the likes of Franck Ribery, Manuel Neuer and Phillip Lahm in a team that’ll surely dominate German football for years to come.

Bayern as I’ve mentioned have already won the Bundesliga this season and can expect a change in management for the 2013/14 season as ex-Barcelona manager, Pep Guardiola, takes over from Jupp Heynckes in the Bayern Munich hot seat. And as if Bayern weren’t going to be hard enough to beat, the addition of one of the world’s best midfielders has surely put them in a prime position to be a real force to be reckoned with for years to come.
