Casio Inspire The Nation With ‘Turn Up Your Noise’ Bus Tour

Casio is an organisation that continues to re-vitalise and grow, whilst ensuring their values and ambitions continue to strive. This became ever-present in their recent ‘Turn Up Your Noise’ UK bus tour.

Following the launch of their latest XW Synthesizers, Casio head out on a 5-date tour venturing to universities, colleges and schools based within Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and London.

Using an open top route master bus, they opened their doors and allowed an influx of aspiring musicians an opportunity to try out the new XW-P1 and XW-G1 synths. The XW-P1 features HexLayer tones. A HexLayer is a single sound comprised of up to 6 components, allowing complex layers, splits and velocity switched sounds. The sliders on the XW-P1 can be used to mix sounds on the fly to create evolving pads and rich synth textures while key velocity can be used to create dynamic velocity switched orchestral sounds and more.

Whilst, the XW-G1 groove synthesizer is geared for the club DJ and dance music performer. In addition to 420 built-in sounds, solo synth and PCM based sounds, the XW-G1 also has the ability to sample. A 19-second sample looper captures internal sounds as well as external instruments allowing the performer to create layers and overdub sounds on the fly.  Sampled sounds can even be saved in Flash ROM so they remain in memory after the keyboard has been powered off.

Their innovations were showcased by multi-instrumentalist Oak, a regular touring partner for the likes of N-Dubz, Tinchy Styder and Delilah, as he advised and taught the crowds what to do during their performances. In a few circumstances, it was a real first-hand experience to gain some music familiarity.

Discussing the success of the events, Daniel Mason, Senior Marketing Manager for Casio, stated that, “We’ve been amazed by the quality of talent as we’ve travelled the country. The tour has inspired us to look into further opportunities to work with schools and colleges in more depth and provide students the chance to work closely with the Casio XW Synths on sound generation, sequencing, sampling and producing music.”

This may be the end of the Casio ‘Turn Up Your Noise’ tour, but this looks to be the beginning of something special. Stay in the loop of their events at: https://www.facebook.com/CasioMusicUK
