On his latest release, Benjamin Yellowitz bears his soul as he discusses his struggles with ugly jealousy, self comparison and how it can spoil relationships. “’Ivy’ is about how pedestals create hierarchy and lack of empathy, Yellowitz elaborates. “It’s a truly collaborative a cappella brought to life by fellow creatives HAVVK, Manuel Di Francesco, Siân Herbert and Robin The Fog.
Past supporters include The Line of Best Fit, Noctis Magazine, Mahogany and Dummy Mag,as well as plays on BBC Introducing West Midlands and Amazing Radio. With an extensive touring history across Europe, Yellowitz has shared stages with the likes of Fink and Bonobo, with his performance being voted the Top 5 at Green Gathering festival 2022. Recent festivals include Electric Picnic, Small World and Shambala. He is also a member of the Sounds Queer team – curating for the likes of Sofar Sounds, UK Pride, Birmingham Pride and El Dorado Festival.
With ‘Ivy’, Yellowitz hopes to continue to mesmerise listeners with his unique blend of ambient folktronica.
