Arsenal close to blockbuster signing

After getting into a bidding war with Juventus, Arsenal look to have bought there way into pole position to sign Argentinian international, Gonzalo Higuain.

The Gunners and Juventus had both agreed personal terms with the player as current club Real Madrid tactically instigated a bidding war for the striker’s services and with Juventus sticking to their guns at €22m, Arsenal and Real Madrid have apparently agreed a fee much closer to €30m.

This is what is believed to have sparked Juventus’ move for Carlos Tevez as Higuain’s brother and agent admitted that the fee Arsenal have agreed is too high for the Turin club to match. “I think that Higuain is now closer to Arsenal. Juventus are a great club, but Gonzalo is too expensive for them.” Nicolas Higuain told the Italian media earlier today.

The move isn’t completed yet but it appears that it’s just a matter of time now until the Gunners complete what would be their club record signing.
