Act Of The Day: San Cisco (2)

Australia’s vibrant indie-pop quartet, San Cisco have become a firm favourite for many following their critically accepted ‘Beach EP’.

About: The Australian quartet, consisting of Jordi Daviesonm, Josh Biondillo, Nick Gardner and Scarlett Stevens, came to headlines late-2010 as their début release ‘Golden Revolver’ found its way onto Australia’s leading station, Triple J. This news was closely picked up by XFM London’s DJ Mike Walsh, whom tipped the record as the closest alternative to Vampire Weekend.

2011 and 2012 saw their critical and commercial reception excel, as a string of festival performances, release of their self-titled album and continuous appearances in the “top rated” charts saw them soar worldwide.

San Cisco aim to take 2013 by the horns, as they embark on tour alongside The Vaccines in the US, their début UK headline dates in March, performances at SXSW and support slots with Darwin Deez across Germany & France.

Remind me of: Foster The People tickling the Peter, Bjorn & John boundaries.

What to expect: Australian TV restricted ‘Wild Things’, which was released on February 18th:
