About: Childhood friends Marcus Pepperell and John Hamson Jr. are certainly no novices to creating music. Having played in separate bands beforehand, touring with the likes of Noah and the Whale and Friendly Fires, it’s safe to say that the two have learnt a lot of lessons. And it shows. Their first track, which appeared online in 2011 but has now been re-recorded, ‘Sound of Screams’, glistens and shimmers at every angle and ‘Unkinder (A Tougher Love)‘ shows how their brand of electro-pop has enough lyrical tenderness, all the while remaining catchy. It’s time to let these guys thump through your earphones.
