Curtis Jackson, better known as rapper 50 Cent, has been charged with domestic violence according to reports surfacing from America.
The rapper, 37, faces 5 charges, one of domestic violence and four counts of vandalism on an alleged ex girlfriend last month.
It’s being reported that an argument broke out between the two, who have a child together, at her home in which he started to cause damage to her property, the woman, currently unnamed is alleged to have locked herself in the bedroom before Curtis Jackson broke into the bedroom and kicked her, leaving her injured. He fled the scene before the police arrived.
City attorney Mike Feuer stated: “Regardless of perceived celebrity or notoriety, domestic violence is a serious crime and alleged perpetrators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by this office“. According to Los Angeles police statement “Police found broken chandeliers and furniture throughout the home, and the bedroom was ransacked with clothes thrown all over the floor and a television and lamp broken”
Investigators have said 50 Cent caused over $7000 worth of damage and is expected to face a court hearing on July 22nd.
