Yorgos Dousos is a Greek Multi-instrumentalist and composer based in Athens, Greece. The composer has shown a different side to his creative talents through the release of latest single LUPUS.
Working in and creating music for many years, Dousos is a founding member of several projects, including prog-folk group Darnakes and the Balkan jazz band Local Heroes.
Dousos’ background in exploring multiples genres has been borne out in the music he has produced in his own right. This is wonderfully showcased on his latest cut LUPUS. The title track from the forthcoming album to be released late October, LUPUS is a journey into another musical realm. Taking inspiration from traditional Greek folk, aligned with expertly delivered avant garde sequences, LUPUS is further elevated by ambient electronica. The additional drumming of Sotiris Mavronasios adds yet another layer to a single that is both meditative and exhilarating.
The track is part of the launch of Dousos’ second album, following on from Serres in 2021. LUPUS though creeps further into experimentation, Dousos playing with sonics and structure, pulling the listener into his own unique space; and making the world a better place for it.
LUPUS is title track of forthcoming album, out on 29th October.
