As I’m sure a lot of people are aware, David Beckham is going to end his 5 and a half years in America, a time that he himself described as filled with “both good and bad times” He was able to end his time in LA on a high though, successfully winning the MLS Cup. – but where is he heading next?
He has said he doesn’t think he can play for another English team such is his love for Manchester United, I’d personally have loved to see him back in England – imagine a midfield of him, Giggs and Scholes!! he has also said he would like to play Champions League football again.
This means that he is aiming high, but will any top club in Europe want to risk signing a 36 year old who has spent the past 6 years playing football in a standard akin to our League 1? Someone who last any pace that he once had?
I’d personally like to see him go to Newcastle Jets in Australia and link up with the Beast Heskey one more time.
His future may be uncertain, but what is certain wherever he goes he’s going to cause an astounding surge in that teams popularity.
