Sia Furler may be most well known for her recent collaborations with Flo Rida and David Guetta, but the Australian-born singer/songwriter has a list of credentials even bigger than Take That’s reported tax bill.
Sia’s impressive career includes song writing for the likes of Rihanna, Katy Perry, Jessie J and Britney Spears (and that list goes on), but so far, she’s eluded mass mainstream success despite having some stunning solo albums under her belt.
‘Chandelier‘, which is slated for UK release on 1 June, is set to change that. While the sweeping pop anthem acts as a perfect showcase for her infinite vocal range, it’s the video which has got everyone talking.
Enter Maddie Ziegler. Maddie is an 11-year-old dancer and star of US reality show Dance Moms. The video follows her dancing around an empty apartment and her physical interpretation of the lyrics and song theme is something really special. Maddie is frighteningly talented for someone so young.
The final cut results in one of the most understated yet beautiful music videos of this year, making it a firm Fortitude favourite.
