Sponsored Post: VO5 continue to break the mould as they recently pioneered a VO5 ‘Express Yourself’ Facebook competition, which provided emerging artists and bands the opportunity to perform the Garden Stage at Isle Of Wight 2013.
With an organisation based on individuality and self-expression, there was nothing more fitting than allowing people across the nation the opportunity to showcase their own talents through the scheme, which would later be judged by a panel of music professionals.
The competition short-listed 20 candidates through social media voting and it was left to the judging panel to crown someone the victor; a panel of professionals, which included the likes of Ellis Rich OBE (Former International Manager at EMI / Co-Founder of E&S Music, with Simon Cowell) and Cliff Jones (Ivor Novello Awards judge / Writer for The Times).
“Haunting style reminiscent of Alanis Morissette – talented and striking – a worthy winner”, stated Ellis Rich OBE, about the newly crowned VO5 Express Yourself champion, Lex Rosenthal.
This 17-year old singer-songwriter, performing under the name of Lex Rose, has attracted a consistent amount of viral success, with over 10,000 views of her Youtube covers alone. However, it was her self-produced material, ’11:59’, which captured the hearts of not only judging panel but the UK fans, who all voted for her.

The future is looking bright for this starlet, who mentioned that; “This is so exciting for me, and I just wanted to thank you all for voting and for your incredible support.
