Video Exclusive: Battleships Unveil ‘As You’d Begun’

With plenty of energy, high hopes and much success already under their belt, Sydney-based indie outfit Battleships can unveil their latest single ‘As You’d Begun’.

Having played a number of festivals, including (what looks to be the last ever) Peats Ridge Festival, in addition to winning the Triple J Unearthed slot at last year’s Homebake; they are quickly becoming a noteworthy edition to the Australian music landscape.

They have already toured alongside The Paper Kites, Art of Sleeping and many others, including a special co-headline Australian tour with Select Music stable-mates Nantes. Battleships are now preparing to bring their first class live show to venues around the country.

‘As You’d Begun’ comes off the back of their mini-album ‘To You’, with Battleships’ typical energetic and emotive sound accompanied by the catchy hooks and infectious beats, showcasing the bands creativity as well as exposing the song writing prowess with the delicacy and emotional depth. The self produced, self recorded single typifies the Battleships sound, a sound not made of fads or stylised trends but of authenticity and colour.
