Slipknot have been confirmed as the first of Download Festival’s headliners for their 2015 festival.
Running from June 12-14 2015, Slipknot will headline the Friday night of the festival, with main support for them being provided by Judas Priest. Five Finger Death Punch and Black Stone Cherry have also been confirmed for the Friday of the festival.
Slipknot recently released their latest album ‘5. The Gray Chapter’, which was their first album since the passing of member Paul Gray and the departure of long time drummer Joey Jordison; the band will celebrate the new album over in the UK this January with a full UK tour with support from Korn.
More Download Festival announcements are expected in the coming weeks, including confirmation of the other two headline bands.
