Single Review: Vive La Rose – ‘Rio Grande’

Having received acclaim from the likes of Billboard Magazine, Daily Record and BBC Radio Scotland’s Roddy Hart, Edinburgh’s David Luximon-Herbert, aka Vive La Rose, has now shared his exquisite new single.

Filled with twinkling melodies and the subtle power of Luximon-Herbert’s raw, husky vocals, ‘Rio Grande’ flows with sweeping strings, luscious harmonies and an immersive, emotion-strewn lyricism. Inspired by the feeling of longing to go out and see the world, but having commitments at home, it oozes a gentle emotive charm as it builds to a catchy, anthemic chorus. A poignant, musically rich offering that cements Vive La Rose as a songwriter capable of creating something truly memorable.

Taken from Vive La Rose’s upcoming album For She Who Hangs The Moon, ‘Rio Grande’ was co-produced by Oliver Betts (The Duke Spirit) and is out now via Gestation Records.
