Single Review: Tom Hale – ‘In The Night’

Previously of indie-rockers ROOD, Barnsley lad Tom Hale has now decided to go solo with the upcoming release of his debut EP In The Night.

Lead single and title track ‘In The Night’ flows with majestic strings and striking keys, alongside a cinematic romanticism and stirring emotion oozing from Hale’s deep South Yorkshire drawl. Reflecting on the power of dreams, it’s a powerful indie ballad; its shimmering melodies and soaring intensity exuding shades of the likes of Alex Turner or Richard Hawley in all the right ways.

An impassioned offering, filled with a subtle grandeur and endearing emotion, ‘In The Night’ is an immensely promising debut from Hale, leaving you eager to hear more. And you won’t have to wait to long for that, as the full EP is set for release this Friday, 7th July.
